Happy Birthday!

Happy birthday (last Sunday) to this tough girl! (She happens to share a birthday with her great-grandfather, who just turned 97! The grit is in her blood. 😉) Age 14 was covid, quarantine and cancer....here's to a wonderful 15th year with so many things to look forward to! Her blood levels were good yesterday and it looks like she's on track to do her LAST chemo next Tuesday-Saturday. She'll get a few weeks before we meet with the radiologist again and map out the treatment for June. Happy spring everyone! Thank you for your continuous support! Thank you for your prayers! I know we have seen sooo many miracles in Elizabeth's life because of them!

One, one, one

ONE crazy past week with some medical lows and adventure highs. (A few blood transfusions, a secondary infection and a repelling adventure up American Fork Canyon.)

We are currently getting ONE day chemo! (We should be home by midnight!)

We have only ONE chemo round left! (We have a 5 day chemo the first week of May and then lung radiation in June.)

Another transfusion, prayers to make chemo

Elizabeth's platelets were hit hard by the last 5 day chemo round that ended on the 6th and so we were back at the hospital this afternoon for a transfusion. She got platelets and packed RBC's. I am praying that she recovers quickly from her low numbers and is able to get chemo on Friday. As much as I hate to be away from my kids on weekends, it really is better overall because Dave isn't trying to balance work and taking care of house and children and run them places as needed. Thank you for your continuous support and prayers.
