I thought being done with chemo would feel like a break, but we have been back up to the hospital several times since chemo ended for blood and platelet transfusions and loooong appointments at the Huntsman Cancer center for her radiation. She met with several doctors one day at Huntsman and another day was spent getting her radiation "bed" ready. It was sort of an ordeal and Elizabeth continues to be so tough through it all. Her labs are being VERY slow to recover and I hope they start to improve more quickly before her radiation treatments start in the first week of June. We have more lab and scan appointments next week. On a happy note, Elizabeth was able to schedule getting her port out. It's set for June 17th, so we're praying all her treatments go smoothly and we can keep that date!! 🙏 She's meeting for outpatient PT evaluation at the end of June and we are so excited to get this going and get her back to life and all the things she loves! She's been able to get back to horse vaulting a few times a week and also spend some fun time with friends. So wonderful! If you're reading this, please know that we love and appreciate you so much!!
